Stacy Rocheleau, Esq. (Retired)
Stacy Rocheleau is the founder of Right Divorce Lawyers in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2020, Stacy has retired from Right Lawyers to serve as a Family Court Judge. Stacy’s eighteen years of experience as a family law attorney will always have an immeasurable impact on the law firm.
During her time as a practicing attonrey, Stacy earned an excellent reputation with opposing attorneys and family court judges. They know she is honest, tough, and always prepared to advocate for her client’s rights.
Stacy always tries to prepare for for every scenario. Some may say she prepares too much. But Stacy’s philosophy is when dealing with life-changing outcomes, being over prepared is better than the alternative.
She has been practing in family court for almost two decades. During that time she was voted one of the top divorce attorneys in Las Vegas. That experience and work ethic is embedded in the firm’s DNA.
Stacy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Whittier College in 1991. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of San Diego School Of Law in 1996. Stacy is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Asked her biggest challenge to date and Stacy will point to raising three daughters. Studying for bar exams, orchestrating divorce trials, handling hostile depositions, or arguing with other lawyers pales in comparison to mediating disputes over three daughters borrowing shoes or makeup without asking.

Personal Insights
How long have you been married? 26 years. My husband and I have three girls; Jenna, Jordan, and Jessica.
What would you do if not a lawyer? A park ranger. I love being in nature. Although, running from bears might be a little scary.
Most Memorable Case? When I was in law school, I was forced to sue my landlord in San Diego County Court. He wouldn’t return my deposit. It was the first time I had been in a real court as a new attorney. I was fully prepared for every question the judge was going to ask and every answer the landlord was going to say. I won. 15 years later, after winning dozens of bigger cases, it’s still my favorite case.
What Makes You a Good Divorce Attorney? I am over prepared, maybe to a fault. Like in the lawsuit involving my landlord in law school, I prepared for every possible situation or scenario. I wanted to have thought out every question that could be asked.
Favorite movie? La La Land.

I would like to take the time to highly recommend the services of Philip Spradling and RIGHT Lawyers. I hired Philip back in November when my ex-wife served me with divorce papers. There is no doubt that this was by far the scariest time of my entire life and I was very anxious at first due to how aggressive my ex and her lawyer were; they wanted to essentially take my daughter away from me (even though my ex repeatedly placed her friends and new boyfriend ahead of her family) and try to demand an insane amount of alimony and child support. My ex had no interest in trying to settle or work this out amicably. They came out in full attack mode and came out swinging.Luckily, Philip and RIGHT Lawyers came to the rescue. From the moment I called them for the first time I was treated with nothing but care and respect. I spoke with Rock and he took a very large chunk of his day to talk to me and convinced me to speak with Philip about my upcoming litigation. Philip took the time to listen to everything I had to say and was very upfront about the cost of the litigation and how we were going to respond to my ex-wife’s aggressive complaint. Philip countered with a counter-claim and I was blown away by how well-worded it was. After a month, we filed a motion for temporary orders and I was deeply impressed with how structured and effective his work was. Their opposition to our motion was a complete joke and they wound up settling right before the hearing, ending the divorce and the darkest period of my life. I credit this solely to Philip, Adriana (the wonderful paralegal at RIGHT Lawyers) and the rest of their team including Karen, Rock, Laura and everyone whose name I did not mention.I want to commend Philip for his incredible patience with me and always being willing to take my calls or answer my emails no matter what silly question I had or what drama I was dealing with. I LOVE the fixed cost system RIGHT Lawyers uses because you can feel free to communicate if there is an issue and once you pay them for the work, they will get it done for you and they will do a good job. All in all I wound up paying $10,500 to fend off my ex wife and her lawyer from their aggressive complaint and this was the result of the hard work Philip, Adriana and the rest of their team put in. Today, my daughter spends most of her days with me while my ex-wife is still trying to pay off her attorney’s fees and fight through bankruptcy. If I ever need legal counsel again, Philip is the first person I would call. His calm demeanor put me at ease and I would recommend his services any day of the week. We came out of that dispute victorious and with a very favorable result. Philip will always be down to earth and realistic about what to expect but will still keep an open mind and fight for his clients the best he can. Right Lawyers did an amazing job! Super impressed with the level of service I received not only from their office staff but especially from my lawyer. I had the pleasure of working with Carlia Waite. She was empathetic, kind and patient with me and fierce council in the courtroom. She took the time to explain everything in detail, she was never misleading nor did she promise me or encouraged me to do things that weren't right for my case. She was always very punctual and answered all my emails or phone calls with a 72 hour, which blew my mind. The price of divorce is never cheap but they were very reasonable. When you get married you never plan for divorce. It's hard, it's sad and very stressful. Right Lawyers and Philip Spradling did an amazing job representing me in my prolonged and emotionally draining divorce and child custody case. Lawyers will never tell you the truth they work for the state and this stupid umbrella coorporation child support they deprive you of your rights under the color of law and never accept mail from this private agency they dont have any jurisdiction read the federal manual and the constitution. Read the us codes and challenge the fake judges because they work under contract for this private unit.

I went to this firm by referral, was seen by Brittney Salvatore and after reviewing my files, was told we have a good case. 6500.00 to do nothing. I had a false police report placed against me that couldve resulted in me losing my career, my lively hood and even my life ( told to me by the officer that responded to the call) I had 5 domestic violence attacks against me w/ witnesses, including breaking into my home and attacking again with a witness present, my personnal belongings damaged, I woke up 3 times to property damage on my vehicles, Mind you my ex had already lost her previous kids to domestic violence she created, was told to take anger classes, and me with absolutley no record of any kind. explain to me how an attorney doesnt eat this up and this attorney shows up to court in sweats, un prepared and taking notes on the fly, a bunch of paperwork filed that went nowhere, 2 court cases that barely lasted 1 hr each. I was charged for patternity ( never done) charge for mediation ( court requires it regardless if party has attorney or not) 15 minutes before the 2nd court date she gives me the ( AS A MOTHER SPEECH) I hired you to defend and protect me, the child and my interest, even if we got nothing but joint it was your job to defend and put all the information you had in front of the courts and than she ask if there was room for reconciliation. Where have you been for the last 6 months? this woman tried killing me, withheld my daughter for all the holidays, none stop harrasments by phone, text, my home etc. etc. and you ask if we can reconcile? after court my ex takes off out of state with the baby and doesnt even notify me, thats how much respect she has for the courts. the baby has visited the hospital 4 more times for mysterious bruises and illnesses ( also this attorney was aware that this was happening previously) since than I have had to file complaints with The State Bar and Attorney Generals Office as well as hire a new attorney and refile for misrepresentation. I was told after all this unfolded that Stacy was a great lawyer who hires bad attorneys. I went to you for help, and I left feeling even more helpless but again this is a prime example of why men never file charges for domestic violence, do you think this was worth 6500.00?

They use a very racist therapist as an expert witness. Dr debbie barboussis Goot is a bigoted biased racist Therapist. I filed a complaint against her. Any attorney that would use her as an expert witness has zero ethics and credibility!

This is the best lawyer I’ve seen in town. I’v paid other lawyers $200 consultation fee just to ask a couple questions while this lawyer took his time and went over every question I had in very deep detail and did not charge me a dime unless we were to file any paperwork in court. I really recommend them before going to any lawyer in town. You will not be disappointed. He even offer to help me with further questions that may come up by email. They are just beyond the best. Divorce is without a doubt, one of the most tragic events in a person's life. There are no winners, only lots of hurt people and financial loss. The Courts are in control and not interested in honest deliberation only how quickly they can move to the next case. My experience with Right Divorce Lawyers is, they helped immensely by providing strategies and direction to get through the process. Rock Rocheleau was there with me when I needed him, even on off times. The cost of a divorce is never good or equitable, however, Right Lawyers kept the costs down and tried to settle sooner than later, with my interests in mind. I would recommend this firm, they do care!
